Group planning

Plan the language and teams before the first clue

A word game needs more than enough seats.

Confirm the language edition

A directory can record player numbers without knowing whether the group recognises the word list or wants to give clues. Check that question with the actual participants before choosing the title.

Separate team and shared-side play

Codenames is recorded as Team, while Just One is Cooperative. This broad format label does not make their clue procedures interchangeable. Read the complete rules for the chosen box.

Treat large groups carefully

A publisher’s plus sign is shown in the directory. More people may require a particular team arrangement; it is not evidence that everyone will see the cards or hear a clue comfortably at any table. Our count selector stops at twelve.

Give the explanation enough space

Demonstrate how information is hidden or revealed before the real round. Agree a pause if the room is noisy or someone misses the instruction. The catalogue does not measure a group’s language ability or predict enjoyment.
