Start with the edition
A familiar title can cover a base game, a new printing, an expansion or a standalone product. Read the edition line before using its numbers. A related brand name is not evidence that the player count transfers.
Read the range literally
Supported players describes a published range, not our preferred group size. A plus sign is preserved when the publisher lists an open-ended upper group. Large-group suitability still needs the actual rules and a practical table arrangement.
Leave room around the clock
The finder matches a time budget only when the recorded upper estimate fits it. A 30–60-minute entry will not appear under 45 minutes. This deliberately conservative filter does not add teaching, setup or breaks.
Keep the claim modest
All initial entries are source-based and untested. Their editorial types help navigation, not a numerical quality score. Use the comparison guide to turn a short list into useful questions.
