Ask the practical questions
How many will play? How long can everyone stay? Does the group want discussion, individual planning, a shared objective or a short word game? Start there before deciding that a familiar title must fit.
Check access and language
Look at the actual components, reading demands, hidden information and ways people can comfortably see or handle the materials. A catalogue category cannot determine suitability for an individual. Invite preferences without asking anyone to disclose private health or learning information.
Plan a comfortable ending
Allow breaks and agree whether the group wants one game or several rounds. A published play estimate is not a deadline that someone must race to meet. Watching the first explanation is a valid way to join in.
Use the record as a starting point
Filter the directory by the confirmed group size, then read the exact edition notes. We do not provide individual age, developmental or accessibility assessments.
